Zehnder enthalpy exchanger suitable for ComfoAir Q / ComfoAir E

A Zehnder ComfoAir Q350/Q450/Q600 / E300/E400 enthalpy exchanger perfectly complements the Zehnder ComfoAir Q / E MVHR-units. This enthalpy exchanger can easily be replaced one-to-one with the already existing heat exchanger, allowing you to immediately benefit from the extensive possibilities of the Zehnder ventilation system. The standard heat exchanger in the Zehnder WTW system recovers heat and also cools back the air. The enthalpy exchanger offers the same functions, but has the added advantage that it also recovers moisture (without the presence of polluted air or odours). Zehnder's enthalpy exchanger filters and reuses the moisture released during cooking and showering. This makes the enthalpy exchanger especially important in winter, when the air is often too dry.

After replacing the heat exchanger with the new enthalpy exchanger, you also need to set this on the unit itself. This can easily be done by holding down the Shift button on the control screen and logging in with the code 4210. Then navigate the menu to ''Installer settings'' and press confirm. Now go to ''Heat exchanger'' and press confirm again. By default, the heat exchanger configuration is set to HRV (normal heat exchanger); this must be changed to ERV (enthalpy exchanger). Then press confirm and return to the home screen. Note that since the enthalpy exchanger now reuses moisture in the unit, it is no longer necessary to drain moisture. This means that the condensate drain is unnecessary. It should be disconnected from the unit and sealed with an airtight blind plug.
